Start the game from the command line with '-Mudd' as an additional parameter (eg C:\BOTF\Trek.exe -Mudd). Once the game has loaded, you can press the following keys during the game for extra help.
F9	Adds 100% to overall research 
F10	Adds 10,000 credits 
F11	Toggle map on/off 
If you're interested, you can view some of the game's movies in a similar way. Simply start the game with these parameters:
